So I figured I would provide “ya’ll” with one of my personal favorites…southern BBQ Baby Back Ribs. I started off by using a dry rub of assorted spices. Those include; lemon pepper, garlic salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, paprika, and onion powder. No specific measurements, just dash each one on based on taste preference. Let them sit in the fridge for a few hours before grilling. After the grill is warm, throw those suckers on there and let em cook!
My grill is a convection heating grill, so the food does not come into contact with the flame, so no flare ups or burns. After about 35 minutes, I flip them. I prefer the Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce, and as of recent he has added flavors to the sauce. Lather up the ribs with a medium amount of BBQ sauce and after about 3o minutes flip again. Now lather up this side with BBQ sauce. Wait about 5-10 minutes and flip again. This will allow each side a chance to cook the sauce into the ribs.
After the final 5-10 minutes, pull them off and let em cool about 5 minutes before cutting. Now something to note; each grill’s cooking times will vary based on the type of grill, elevation, and fuel source, so my times may be different from yours!
So served up here with steamed corn, homemade mashed taters, and a nice home brew from my neighbor! Give it a try or share you version! Either way, lets us know what you think!
