Feeling Good

It has been 9 months since I decided to start this blog and I am so grateful for the support.  This past week was pretty interesting.  I learned a lot about people.  Some things good, some bad.  The military has chosen to send me to someplace other than AK…no news where.  Kind of exciting and scary at the same time.  Keeping my fingers crossed for at least a highly populated location.  Also, I found out I am safe from this years military force management decisions.ink inside out-anna castillo-Motherhood-Feeling Good-January 2014

I did a lot of reflecting yesterday.  I finally received my Flex A5 cover by Filofax and Uncalendar for the reorganization of my life.

I am excited about staying on track and prioritizing what I need to get done.  I still need to work on finding time for “quiet time”.  I am working on it though.  Today I am starting a few new habits:

1.  Blog more.

2.  Work out!

My goal is to lose and keep off approximately 35 lbs.  I want to be tone, healthy, but athletically sexy.  I am trying Fitness RX, February 2014 issue’s 28 day jumpstart.  They say it takes 28 days to start a habit.  Well, let’s do this!

ink inside out-anna castillo-Motherhood-Feeling Good-January 2014 I will be using my Jawbone UP24 fit band to track my steps and My Fit Pal to help monitor my food intake.  Not sure if I will take any supplements.  I will increase my protein intake and eat more fruits and vegetables.

3.  Find time for family.

Making time for family is important to me.  Sometimes my job doesn’t allow for much family time but this year I will at a minimum set time aside for one game night a week.  Tonight, we are trying Quelf.  The game consists of 440 cards with instructions written on them. You need to follow the instructions on the card to move ahead.  You use your creativity and imagination to answer crazy questions and perform ridiculous stunts.  You can display your talent writing poems or dancing to a quirky tune.
