Faux Lash How-To

You would never catch my eyes undressed for an important event. Some have joked by saying I have an arsenal of lashes. One for every occasion, to include when I conduct criminal interviews.

I don’t know how many times I get asked if my lashes are real.

If they can’t tell, then you are doing it right! Here are my instructions for a quick and beautiful faux lash:

1. Pick your lash style:

I don’t go anywhere with out a pack of our Demi-Whispy lashes

Tip: When choosing a style think natural is better unless you are going for a specific high fashion or halloween type look. The fuller the lash line of a strip style faux lash, the more natural it will appear on you eyes.

2. Use the proper adhesive:

I always use black lash glue.

It is easy to use and remove. The glue goes on gray but dries black. Beware of the individual lash adhesives. It’s like super glue. I do not recommend this for strip lashes.

To use: Pick up the strip  with tweezers, lash end first, glide the applicator portion of the tube along the strip where the lashes will attach to your eyelid.

3. After you have applied your desired makeup look, grab the strip with the already applied adhesive using tweezers.   Apply the lash to the center of your upper lash line of your eye first.  Then, maneuver the strip along the inner and outer lash line.  As the lash glue dries and becomes darker in color, carefully pinch the false lash to the top of your real lash.

4.  Blend your real lashes with jet black mascara.

5.  Use a liquid liner like @inkcosmetics Cake Liner and Sealant to go over the lash line.  Smudge the color for a softer, more natural look.

Enjoy!
