Have you ever sat in your own home, late at night, the family asleep, candle burning, and just listened? Listening to the sounds of the home; the heat coming on and off, the dog breathing. Close your eyes and take it all in. Just slow your breathing. Learn your own home. Now, I open my eyes, so open yours. Look around and see how life is in your home. What do you observe? What things belong, should be out of the away, some of the sounds around, are they near by?
I am writing this because I recognize I don’t always observe my home, the ins and outs of the life that exists in our home. So I encourage you to do so…I’m always saying take time for family, friends and self…but the home, where most of life is spent is missed.
I see in my own observation, we have outgrown the home, our first one as a family. So much happens in this home, holidays, friends and family. Different types of energy come through, and we too, bring energy in and out of our home. Yet I know this place, our first home, no matter if we stay or go, is home!! Our marriage began in this home, we shared our last name in this home, and our daughter has grown here. Many of our firsts have occured in this home. I smell the candle burning and hear the heater come on. I just breath and take in my thoughts, the sounds and smells, and it reminds me, this is home.
Thanks for reading and I hope you take time for your home.
Until next time!!
